Dota 2 Heroes – An Introduction to Ulfsaar the Ursa Warrior

Ulfsaar the Ursa Warrior is one of the most ferocious heroes in Defense of the Ancients (Dota) 2. More often than naught, you will find yourself running away from him for life instead of chasing him for a kill.

Ursa, otherwise known as Fuzzy Wuzzy, is not your typical agility hero because of the fact the tankier you get, the more damage you will end up doing.

Earthshock is an active skill that will stomp the ground around you, damaging enemies within a 365 Area of Effect (AoE) for 240, while also slowing them by 55 percent for 4 seconds. This is essentially the ability that will allow your other skills to really shine.

His second ability, Overpower, will give him the maximum attack speed for either a set duration or number of attacks when activated. For example, at Level 4 he will gain maximum attack speed for either 6 attacks or 15 seconds, whichever is exhausted first. This synergises with his first skill because Earthshock would give you the opportunity to pull off these attacks in quick succession.

Fury Swipes is a passive orb skill that gives Ursa an ability to deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time. At Level 4, each attack will deal 25 extra damage to the enemy that you are focusing and if you attack them again within a 6-second period, you will stack another 25 damage. In case you are wondering about the limit of stacks, allow me to stun you with shock by revealing that there is no limit at all, so you can imagine the amount of damage that you will be able to dish out in a short span of time and especially considering the direct synergy between this skill and his second skill Overpower.

Ursa’s ultimate Enrage is what made me refer to him as an atypical agility hero earlier on. When activated, Ursa will go into a frenzy dealing 7 percent of his current health in damage for a 15-second period. This is why getting health-boosting items such as Vanguard, Black King Bar (BKB) and Heart are so crucial on Ursa.

Ursa is a nightmare for his enemies as he shows no mercy while tearing open their flesh and dealing a huge amount of damage in a very short span of time. When playing with Ursa, it is best to go for items that increase your health points (HP) as that would not only make your ultimate more effective, but will also make you seemingly invincible. As already mentioned earlier, he is a predator that would normally find enemies running away from him instead of standing their ground and exchanging blows, thus making it essential for him to add a Dagger to his inventory as soon as possible.
