Strygwyr the Bloodseeker is a gank-heavy hero that is very reliant on level. This is why he is usually found soloing in the middle lane.
Bloodseeker’s first skill is named Bloodrage and it is a single-target skill that can be used on an enemy or an ally. This skill will silence targets, be it an ally or enemy unit, increase their attack damage and deal damage over-time. This may sound like an odd set of buffs, but keep in mind the 20 damage per second, which remains the same at all levels. So what happens when you level up the skill? The duration and damage percentage gets larger. The skill can therefore act as a great harassment tool early game, causing them to take 20 damage per second while getting only a minimal attack damage boost. Late game, however, it is not uncommon to use this on yourself as it increases your damage by 80%.
Bloodseeker’s second skill Blood Bath is an amazing passive that allows him to stay alive through the entire game. Whenever he kills a unit, he will gain health based on the maximum health. For instance, if you kill a hero, you will gain 40% of the maximum health and for a creep, you will get 25%. All keep in mind that if you are within 225% of the dying hero, but fail to get the last hit, you will still get half of the regeneration.
Thirst is another passive skill that can increase the movement speed drastically if the enemy hero is below 40% hit-points (hp). At Level 4, if the enemy is below the threshold in a 6000 Area of Effect (AoE), Bloodseeker will not only gain 44% bonus speed, but will also have vision granted on the target.
Bloodseeker becomes a great chaser based on his third skill, while his ultimate Rupture ensures that he is played in that fashion. Rupture is a single-target skill that will deal an initial 350 pure damage at Level 3, but will also deal 60% of the distance that the target moves in damage. This makes sure that the target stands still for you to auto-attack him, or continue running and die as a result. One thing to note, however, is that if the ruptured unit moves 1300 distance in less than 0.25 seconds, then it will not receive any damage.
Playing as Bloodseeker does require skills, but not as much as other heroes. Therefore, this hero is definitely recommended for players who are relatively new to Defense of the Ancients (Dota) 2. With the ability to silence enemies, Rupture them and chase them at outrageous move speed, it surely does not require a lot of effect to become the biggest bully in the battlefield.
