Not too many days ago, we got the news that Square Enix has announced a Final Fantasy Ultimate Box Collection featuring almost the entire series in one single package in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.
However, the Japanese-based company is not the only one celebrating an anniversary of a successful franchise as Electronic Arts (EA) has announced a small anniversary package for the fans of the real-time strategy games, Command & Conquer the Ultimate Collection, to celebrate 17 years of the franchise.
The bundle is a compilation of all 17 games that were released over the course of 17 years and went on to become a hit.

Our passion for this fantastic portfolio is helping drive us as we deliver the next great Command & Conquer experience next year,” said Jon Van Caneghem, Vice President and General Manager, Electronic Arts.
Still considered as one of the best real-time strategy gaming franchise, Command & Conquer has been for quite some time now. The first title in the franchise was released in 1995, a time when PC gaming was in its infancy years and still had plenty to prove. The game played its role in establishing Windows as a strong platform for gaming and attracted a huge fan base, plenty of whom never looked back after getting a taste of the real-time strategy experience.
Over the years, a number of studios worked on the development of the Command & Conquer games, majority of which were owned by EA. Each new title offered something new and unique, with the presentation and graphics getting even more impressive due to the availability of better technology.
Some of the titles in the series, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 for instance, is still being played by gamers despite the availability of games with much stronger graphics in the market.
