Insomniac Games, the developers of the upcoming co-op shooter, are looking to release their game in March next year but EA, the publisher, have already started hyping up the game with by announcing what gamers can get if they book their copy of the game early.

For those who are not familiar with the upcoming game from the creators of the Resistance trilogy, fear not, because Fuse is simple enough a game to understand. The game started off as Overstrike before being renamed and is basically a co-op shooter with Insomniac’s trademark of insane weaponry accounted for.

The game was originally titled Overstrike because the developers wanted the name to be inspired by the team or squad name, such as the A-Team, however, during development the studio decided that Fuse would be more apt as the game is centered around it.

Fuse has a total of four-playable characters was originally intended as a stealth game, however, the developers feared that there would always be one or more players who would ruin the experience for everyone else and decided that the path of shooter would be better.

As with every Insomniac game, Fuse also features an array of insane weaponry, with each character in the game having their own unique play style, abilities and strengths. Along with the weapons there are plenty of upgrades, perks and power ups that players can use to their advantage and as it turns out, EA is offering a number of them as exclusive pre-order incentives.

According to EA, those who book their copy of the game before hand will gain access to:

“Four Hyperion Prototype Agent Armour Skins” which “Upgrade your agent’s look with four special, state-of-the-art armor skins discovered inside the top-secret Hyperion Base.”

The second pre-order incentive contains, “Four Hyperion Prototype Weapon Skins-Customise your Fuse weapons with four skins based on each of the original prototypes developed inside Hyperion Base.”

And lastly players will as receive the, “Quickdraw Team Perk” which “Increase your damage with this team perk adding powerful Fuse elements to all one-handed weapons for all four characters in your squad.”

No retailer specific pre-order incentives have been announced for the time being but one can expect those to be revealed later on. However, one should not expect too much on that front as retailers are usually cautious of new, unproven titles especially new IPs and may be hesitant to back the game as much as they would other more established titles.

However, that is understandable especially when one considers that the game is releasing in March next year a few weeks after Dead Space 3, Crysis 3 and around the time many expect Grand Theft Auto 5 to be released.

It will make for an interesting February to April period for the gaming industry that’s for certain.
