All three Insomniac developed PlayStation 3 exclusives to put in the same box and offered to consumers in early December for $39.99.

It’s the Holiday Season and for some it means family, the festive spirit and peace while for others it means great offers and deals and for others still, the chance to boost their sales. When they all come together, everyone is happy and maybe that’s what makes it such a special time of the year.

Sony is looking to get the PlayStation 3 and Vita to the forefront of the console market during this period having already announced Black Friday deals for both consoles. The PlayStation 3 deal sees a 250GB console bundled with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted: Among Thieves as well as InFamous 1 and InFamous 2, as well as a three-month pass to PlayStation Plus. The Ultimate Edition is priced at $200.

On the Vita front, Sony are offering three different bundles with the Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes bundle coming with the game and the Wi-Fi console, while the Black Ops 2: Declassified bundles comes with the console, Declassified and a 4GB Memory stick. Lastly, the Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation bundle comes with a Limited Edition white PlayStation Vita console, the game as a 4GB memory stick. Each of the three bundles comes in at $200.

On the game front Sony is offering the Ultimate Edition sale online with a number of titles on offer with up to 73% discounts on certain games.

However, at the same time Sony seems to want to milk everything it can out of the Resistance franchise with all three games set to packaged together and offered up as the Resistance Collection. Priced at $39.99, the game is set to hit the United States on the 5th of December. The Collection will feature all the DLC for all of the games but Insomniac has confirmed that Resistance: Fall of Man will not be getting any trophy support.

Fall of Man was one of the launch titles on the console and garnered a considerable following. The second game changed a number of features and gameplay elements, which players did not take to all too well but the sense of scale still managed to reel them in.

Resistance 3 went mostly unnoticed but those who have played the game have hailed it as the best in the series.

The developer has since moved on from its Sony exclusivity deal and is currently working of a co-op title, Fuse. The game is set to release on multiple platforms and was shown off earlier on in the year at E3.

It will be interesting to see how Insomniac fare with their latest entry which is due out next year.
