If the listing on Best Buy is to be believed, it appears that Yoshi is getting his very own game for Nintendo’s first-ever HD console Wii U.

The electronics retailer would have surely earned itself a spot on the Japan-based company’s “hate list” after leaking information about two of its unannounced items.

The first was the Canada-exclusive Wii Mini, a $99.99 console that is perfect for late adopters

The second and most recent item that the retailer revealed is Yoshi’s Land for Wii U, a game that Nintendo has not made public yet.

The game has appeared on the Canadian online catalogue for Best Buy and its subsidiary Future Shop, along with some information about the game that was being kept under wraps.

The retailer is yet to get its hands on the full details or box art, but it did manage to deliver a somewhat vague description of the game to let the Wii U owners know what may be headed their way soon.

“Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land [sic] for Nintendo Wii U,” the page reads. “Check out Yoshi as you’ve never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U touch-screen GamePad, while you’ll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.”

Both the retailers have listed the game at a price of $59.99 and given an estimate release date of December 31, 2013.

Mario’s green friend has already made his debut on the next-generation console with Nintendo Land.

Fans of the cuddly dinosaur will be glad to learn that a Yoshi-exclusive may be headed their way very soon and that too on a platform that is clearly taking interactive gameplay to an entirely new level.

While Yoshi’s Land landed on the listings at the American electronics retailer and its subsidiary, Nintendo is yet to confirm if the leaked information is actually true.

With a new Pikmin game already confirmed for Nintendo’s new console, it seems likely that a new Yoshi game may be heading to the market as well.

Launched in North America with 23 titles, Wii U has already made quite an impact in the American market, with a number of retailers already placing orders for a fresh stock of the console.

The reaction of the consumers to the console’s launch in the region has proven a number of analysts wrong, who had been asserting for the past few months that the new Nintendo system did not have what it takes to make it big in the market.

The third-party support for the hardware has helped it to defy odds to an extent, which involved breaking into a market where Sony’s and Microsoft’s current-generation consoles have a huge install base.

The challenges are far from over for Nintendo and Wii U, but judging by the way things are move at the moment, it seems that the company would manage to find success in the market yet again.
