Agent 47 takes out some of the other titles in the United Kingdom’s weekly sales charts as it ends the week at number one. No prizes for guessing which game finished top once again.

Call of Duty: Black Ops now has a five star rating on the sales front as it spends its fifth continuous week at number one in the sales charts as the best-selling series does exactly what the label says it does and is selling the best. One can expect a steady flow of DLC to be released by Activision over the coming months and for the game to remain number one for some time to come.

Sneaking up to second place and leaving a pile of bodies hidden in its wake is Agent 47 and his return to the gaming fold, Hitman: Absolution. The game has been hailed by many as an impressive return of the iconic assassin and after spending a number of weeks below the top three, the game saw a spike in sales following a price drop promotion.

There is no point in spending any time talking about which game is in third place. This particular game seems to have made third place its home as FIFA 13 spends another week at number three. EA Sport’s latest title offers one of the most critically acclaimed football simulation experience, although fans have been complaining over the constant issues, bugs and glitches that are reported.

In fourth place is the first of three Ubisoft titles as Just Dance 4 manages to hold on to a place in the top five. The game is the latest iteration of the widely selling series that turns fully grown adults into absolute fools thinking they can bust some sweet moves. We kid, its great fun, especially with the Gangnam Style DLC.

In fifth place,  is Far Cry 3, which had spent the previous weeks at number two. The game has been praised on nearly level by nearly everyone who has played and Ubisoft seem to have justified their investment in the title and pushing it to the ‘AAA’ classification and the extra budget and production that comes with it.

In sixth place is the final Ubisoft title and it is none other than Assassin’s Creed 3. The change of setting and protagonist seems to have gone down well with fans who simply wanted to get out of Europe. The new terrain brings with it its own joy and challenges and it will be interesting to see which direction the developers go with the next game.

That’s it for this week’s look at the United Kingdom software sales charts. Tune in the same time next week to find out whether or not there is a new second placed game, seeing how Black Ops 2 and FIFA 13 seem to be in no mood to be going anywhere.
