League of Legends Free Champion Rotation has entered the 36th week of its second season, offering players a fresh batch of free champions to play with.
10 champions have become available for the players to choose from this week. Let us take a look at five of the ten champions that the players will be able to play for the next few days without having to unlock them through Experience Points (EP) or Influence Points (IP).
Alistar, The Minotaur
By just looking at the sheer size of Alistar, his role in the game becomes apparent. The melee hero excels in both pushing as well as tanking.
His passive ability Trample causes him to deal damage to units he walks over for a short duration each time he casts a spell, which helps him in fulfilling his role of pushing lanes quite effectively.
With skills such as Pulverize, Headbutt, Triumphant Roar and Unbreakable Will at his disposal, Alistar is indeed a force to be reckoned with.
Corki, The Daring Bombardier
Manning a rather strangely-designed helicopter, Corki is a ranged-carry hero who has an ability to deal quite a bit of damage from a distance. Fire, bullets, missiles, you name it and he has it in his arsenal.
His passive skill Hextech Shrapnel Shells allows him to deal a bit of an extra damage to his foes, while Phosphorous Bomb, Valkyrie, Gatling Gun and Missile Barrage all add up to his damage-dealing capacity. He is very dependent on mana, therefore be prepared to spend a lot of gold on getting mana-boosting items.
Karthus, The Deathsinger
Karthus is a ranged mage who is best left for advanced players as casual League of Legends players will have a tough time getting the most out of him. He has excellent harassing capabilities, while his potential to deal huge damage is also huge.
Possessing one of the strangest passives in the game, Death Defied allows Karthus to haunt the area of his demise for a while, casting spells and dealing damage before finally succumbing to death.
Lay Waste is Karthus’ bread and butter, allowing him to harass, farm and even kill. The low mana-cost allows the spell to be spammed. His other spells Wall of Pain, Defile and Requiem require a lot of mana, especially Defile. Therefore, going for lots of mana-boosting items is a must when playing as Karthus.
Ryze, The Rogue Mage
Ryze is another ranged mage that is available for free-play this week. With a number of nuking spells at his disposal, which includes a disable, his presence in the battlefield is always quite intimidating.
His passive Arcane Mastery synergises extremely well with his spells, reducing their countdown each time a spell is casted within a certain time. His other skills, namely Overload, Rune Prison, Spell Flux and Desperate Power are all quite powerful and require him to rush mana-boosting as well as Ability Power-boosting (AP) items as soon as possible.
Tryndamere, The Barbarian King
Tryndamere is a carry-melee champion who can really strike fear in the hearts of his enemies. Every blow dealt to him makes him even stronger, courtesy of Battle Fury, making his foes think twice before striking him. His potential to deal damage is huge, with his skills making him a real powerhouse. None of his skills use mana, therefore making it quite easy for players to decide where they want to invest the gold. His skills include Bloodlust, Mocking Shout, Spinning Slash and Undying Rage, along with the passive Battle Fury that has already been mentioned earlier.
