Ubisoft presents Assassin's Creed 3 duri

The ancient war between the Assassin’s Creed and the Templars is still being fought and it seems the latter managed a small victory after stealing a shipment of their enemy’s propaganda material.

For those who are still oblivious to the secret war between the two ancient orders, this news will not be as significant to you as it will be to those who do.

The members of the Assassin’s Creed and the ancient Templar Order have been at war and fighting for the fate of the human race since as long as one would care to remember. The Templar’s believe that peace in the world can only be brought about when they can control everything and everyone submits to them, or something like that, while the Assassin’s believe that people are inherently good and will continue to be so as long as they have the freedom to do so.

Now that is a very rough summary of what is a complex situation, yet it should serve as a decent enough background for those not familiar.

In recent years, both organizations have taken a more public approach to their war, averting from the armed conflicts of the past, though it is still practiced on a smaller scale, and moving more into the mass media.

The Assassin’s took over Ubisoft and released the first Assassin’s Creed game, which showed off their side of the story and why they fight. It may seem like a video game for some but it is actually their way of archiving their knowledge.

On the other hand, the Templars created a media empire consisting of a number of news channels and newspapers. However, with the increased interest in video games in recent years, the Assassin’s seem to be gaining the upper hand.

However, the Templars seem to have reacted to being battered in recent years and have stolen a shipment of Assassin’s Creed 3 PC versions which were due for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

These territories have been an area for much contention between the two warring orders both see these areas as widely influential and crucial.

The Templars managed to make it away with a number of Join or Die editions, which Ubisoft, or rather the Assassin’s, will find difficult to replace. Ubisoft now need to find a way to ensure that the disappointed Assassin’s Creed fans do not turn their attention away from the series.
