The Walking Dead and Hitman Absolution invade the PlayStation Network

Sony has a number of hitting the PlayStation Store this week with something new, something old, something Dead and something RPG.

The publisher is working extensively to provide day-one releases on the PlayStation Network and looks set to continue that trend with Hitman Absolution which is set to release on the PlayStation Store the same day as retailers.

Sony pitched the game as a titleBoasting a cinematic story, distinctive art direction and highly original game design, Hitman: Absolution combines much-loved classic gameplay with features never before seen in the Hitman franchise.”

Oh, and there’s killing, lots and lots of killing in creative ways.

At the same time, there is something for the younger gamers on offer as well with Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two which pairs Mickey Mouse and Oswald together. Each character has his own unique abilities.

“Mickey with his magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity.”

If you are a fan of the Family Guy TV shows then Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse should interest you. “The game features completely a completely original story that sends the guys back through the Multiverse on a mission to stop Bertram.” It boasts the same voice cast and writers as the TV show so players can expect not being sold short this time.

While it may not be a day-one release, Sony is now offering Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning via download for all those who are interested. The game features “An open-world action RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is set in Amalur, a rich and deeply immersive world underpinned by 10,000 years of history, created by 22 time New York Times bestselling author, R.A. Salvatore.”

The Walking Dead: Episode 5 – No Time Left is the finale of Telltale’s story driven five part grand adventure set In the world of Robert E. Kirkman’s The Walking Dead. The game offers players various choices throughout with each decision having an impact on the storyline. The accumulation of all the player’s choices are set to come back to either haunt or reward them.

Codemasters is looking to provide a title that will appeal to those who are not fans of Formula One or who find the game too complicated or daunting. Their title, F1 Race Stars, looks to be a more accessible, forgiving option for gamers and is set to hit the PlayStation Store this week as well.
