The guide continues with more combat related tips.
With the basic combat out of the way it is now time to move on to the Weapon combinations that work and do not work. Finding the right balance here will make the game all the more enjoyable and in many cases simpler than if one just ran around with the wrong guns in the wrong situations.
The basic rule is to have one one-shot kill weapon and one other weapon. An example would be carrying a Dragon Sniper in the primary weapon slot as it has good distance, a useful scope for long distance targets and enough power for one-shot kills, with a Micro 9mm or a .45 Defender in the secondary weapon compartment.
The reason for this is because although the Dragon sniper is great for long range, when things get up close and personal it is not as effective. This is where the Micro 9mm or the pistol comes in handy.
One could argue that they could carry the Desert Eagle of the Wes-44 around, but they have long reload times and when faced with a horde of enemies they slow things down.
If a player does want to carry the Wes-44 or other high calibre pistols than they should opt for either the FAL, the M4 or the AK-47, so their choices remain versatile.
Carrying around two automatic weapons or two high calibre weapons is not advised and the player should mix and match the two. The combinations that work best are the Dragon Sniper and Micro 9mm, the Wes-44 and the FAL, the Desert Eagle and the M4, or any combination of the Primary weapons with the secondary weapon.
It may sound as if it is complicating things; however, if the player can grasp the concept then they will find that they will never be out gunned for any situation that the game will throw at them.
Also at the same time, weapons such as the GAU-19 and the RPG should be used whenever possible and dumped right after as the first will slow players down and the latter rarely has any ammo when it is needed the most.
During the latter chapters of the game high calibre weapons are a must as the enemy AI packs quite a punch and it is here that explosive weapons come in handy especially the grenades.
Grenades are great for dispersing enemies and flushing them out of cover and should be used whenever more than three enemies approach the player at once.
